Isn't the Swarajathi by Shayama Shastri rather than Dikshitar? Or has Dikshitar composed one as well?

Oh! Yes! Im sorry! It is composed by Sri Syama Sastri indeed. I have corrected it.

I'm sorry, but I cannot fill in the mridangist's name either.

I arrived late (oh dear, making a bad habit of this) but found my favourite RS Hall seat waiting for me. I haven't seen Jayanthi play for ages, and was not so happy with some of the 'innovative' programs I have seen in the past. I still recall, however, being bowled over the first time I saw her, in London, by her technique and sound, which is quite wonderful.

I thoroughly enjoyed this concert and hope to see her again soon.

Ghatam Karthik's contribution was notable. It is unusual to be so struck by the nadam of a ghatam --- although tuned, it is not known for it's long, ringing notes. Karthik made his pot sound like a bell, with ringing sounds at appropriate moments.

IIRC, the mridangist was Bangalore Jayachandra Rao.

I attended some part of this concert. It was good in parts.
