Heard that there was a brilliant sub-main - kayoroganesham (karnataka devagandhari), a great shanmugapriya (mamavakarunaya) and a superb Bhagyashri pallavi???

Sappri,
Missed you at this truly riveting concert. I missed her house concert on sunday. You missed both. Hope you are feeling a bit better now.

Braindrain,
Thank you for your post with the partial list. Did not know you were there.

Slipped in silently , and left soon after the concert. There were very few people left towards the end of the concert. Did not notice you ...

You could tell us about the initial kritis. I heard there was Mukhari , Gangeysbhushani and Abheri ( devagandhArm)..

And would you know whose krithi is the kuntalavarali song...

Neela Ramgopal is one of my favorite female singers of today-I don't mean just among the seniors! Well, she does not sound like a senior when it comes to her voice, her imagination and verve. She is such a seasoned singer who is keen on the new while clinging faithfully to the old. The inflection in her voice is very pleasing. The depth in her pAtAntaram and her imagination together whip up wave after wave of musical phrases which are ever so pleasing to hear. She brings to us different composers in her concerts and rAgAs many others do not dare to sing.

The kEdAram had such gambhIram, the dEvagAndhArm was excellent from start to finish. Yes, that shaNmukhapriya (I hear one after such a long time) was delicious and the bhAgESri RTP was captivating.
Cheers to her also on account of her being a senior (like me) and a forumite too :)

Sorry, I am not a big fan of the violinist, but he was adequate. Neyveli Narayanan and Kartik enlivened the concert no end.

If I am right, does he not belong to a great family of violinsts? Can't we have list of top 10 violinists, mridhangists.. :)

Vganesh,
Tastes differ. As a result, we will end up with a list of more than ten, for sure!
Apologies for my sweeping statement. Perhaps it wasn't one of his best days. I have heard him only a few times to make up my mind about his playing, my taste playing a part in it. Hence, apologies to him and to his fans as well...
