First of all, I have attempted to transliterate this song in tamizh. Some tamizh expert like arasi or somebody else, Please check if the spellings are right:

So, I have transliterated the lyrics you've posted (with a minor correction in the pallavi), along with the meaning, so that everyone can appreciate this song. Thank you for starting this topic - it gave me an opportunity to enjoy the deeply philosophical aspect of the caraNam in particular.

The faces (mugam) of the gOpis (gOpiyargaL) uniting with/meeting (kUDUm) you as they behold (kANavE) your charming, flute-playing (kuzhal-Udum) grace/beauty (ezhil), display conflicting emotions : they drop their eyes, overcome by shyness (nANavE) even as their faces (mugam), desirous of (vizhaiyunra) love (kAdal), seek (nADavE) you! And watching this, you get a kick out of this, and a small, mischievous smile (muruval) plays at the corners (Oram) of your lips (idazh), causing a fleeting (ODavE) dimple (Suzhittu) on your cheeks. As you, the Lord (nAthan) of the world (jagat) create (pADa) music (iSai), and the woman/women (nangai) intone (pODa) the jatis, and as (ena) all (ellAm) time (kAlakAlam) forms the Sruti and rhythm (layamum) to this music, we see the essence (poruL) of the vEdas unite (onRi) and reside (uRaindiDavE) within you (onnil). Arasi - most of the versions of this song have the pallavi as uRavenRu, not uRavinRu...

Ravi, think a little bit of the track. inRu is more apt since the jivAtmA is running towards kaNNan today and not as enRu when it can be next day, next week, next year, next janmA or the next manvantrA. There is no use of the second kind of love.

I don't take credit except for checking it by looking in her book--because memory sometimes plays tricks.
And the meaning gets to be much less in that one syllable

Thank you for your down load link for the meaning of the song" Adadu Asangadu Va Kanna".

I have started a new thread on OVK.

I wanted to take up this song as my second song in my thread. Since the full song and its meanings have been already given by you, kindly permit me to post your song and meaning in my thread.

I feel the second stanza meaning may be taken as follows. The movements of the entire world are caused by the cosmic dance of lord Shiva at Chidambaram. OVK feels that if lord Shiva stops his cosmic dance and come down here to witness the beautiful dance of You, the entire movement in this world will stop. Hence please come in "Adatu Asangadu Va Kanna".

I wanted the meanings to post on my blog. Actually, I knew almost all the meanings. But, I had some difficulty in the above mentioned words. So, I thought I would clarify these particular meanings with you all and then post the full song's meaning on my blog. But, our genius rshankar provided a much better translation! So, I thought I would post that for better clarity. You forget to mention one thing:
