Lakshman,
There is a final line which is missing. I do not remember the entire song but I do remember the line with words like 'pizhai poruttaruL dayALan.......malar pAdan' or something to that effect.
bAlakrishNan;
mugil (the way to pronounce it is something between g and k). A soft k or a harsh g? Arun to correct me if I am wrong!
niRai madi (full moon)
gOvardana

The radiant smile (iLa nagai) [1] playing (tavazhum) on (adanil) his face (vadanam) that resembles the full (nirai) moon (madi) shines like a moonbeam (illumination (oLi) granted (aruL) by the moon (nilavu)).

This cow (gO) herd (pAlan) who lives/roams around (vihArI) in gOkul, brindAvan, and the banks of the yamunA is the delighter (vilOlan) who ensnares (mOhana) the mind and hearts (mana) of the gOpIs (gOpI jana) with the music (gAna) emanating from his flute (murALI). He is the young (vAlan) embodiment of grace (karuNAla) who resides (vAzh) in the heart (manadil) of his devotees (anbar) and prevents/spares them (tavirttu) the anxieties (vyAkulam) that beset this mortal existence.
madhyama kAlam
mazhai taDukka gOvardhana malai eDutta tiN tOLan
pizhai poruttaruL dayALan brahman paNi malar tALan
(He is) the one with mighty/strong (tiN) shoulders (tOLan) who held (eDutta) up mount (malai) gOvardhan to prevent (taDukka) the deluge (mazhai) sent down by an angry indra from harming the residents of gOkul. Oh compassionate (dayALan) Lord at whose flower (malar)-like feet (tALan) brahmA offers worship (paNi), please tolerate (poruttu) my deficiencies/misdemeanors (pizhai), and bless me (aruL)!
FOOTNOTE
[1] iLa nagai Does the iLa refer to a tender smile, a nascent smile, a tiny smile, or something like that?
A simple, yet lovely composition. Any links?

Ravi,
iLam (young, beginning); iLa nagai=the beginning of a smile which is beautiful and might break into a hearty laughter. The song is about bAla gOpAlan. kuzhandaiyin kuRu nagai peru nagayAi malarum enum edirpArppu (it is about bAla gOpAlan, and the smile might at any moment turn into a hearty laughter).
One of PS's songs that I adore and KVN's rendering is dear to my heart.

Thank you, Ravi and arasi. KVN used to sing it beautifully... here is an equally lovely interpretation by Sri DKJ.
