Here is my attempt. Additions/corrections welcome!

sArasa samamukha - O one with a lotus-like face!
sanaka mukha vinuta - praised by Sanaka etc.,
paramava mAm - protect me well!

ayi sadaya - O merciful one, (protect me)
pAra rahita bhava ghOra kaluSataravArirAshi paripati tam - fallen into the terrible, sinful, boundless ocean of worldly existence

kuTila bhujaga varaphaNakrta surucira naTana - O one who danced on the vicious king of snake's(kaliya's) hoods!
dEva - O lord!
gOkulasha payOnidhi-pUrNa shashAnka - O full-moon that delights the ocean that is the residents of Gokula
niTila tala-lasita mrgamada tilaka - O one with the Kasturi tilaka shining on your forehead's surface!
nIla vArida sharIra - O one with a blue cloud-like body!
yadu tilaka - O foremost of the Yadu clan!

sarasatara - O most delightful one!

sakala bhuvana bhaya haraNa paTu carita jAla - O one with a history of expertise in removing the fears of all the worlds,
amEya - O immeasurable one!
santatam - Always
vihara mEmanasIha - sport here in my heart!
dayALO - O merciful one,
prakaTa bala danuja bhEdanalOlupa - O one eager to destroy the Asuras of visible strength,

Rajani, thanks for the explanation; I always have difficulty in understanding Swathi Tirunal's Sanskrit.
I am a little curious about the word sarasatara-you have explained it as 'most beautiful one'- I was under the imprssion that 'tara' is used for comparitive-'more' and 'tama' for superlativ-'most'.

Thanks Ravi and Punarvasu. Yes, tara and tama are used for comparative and superlative resp., but they are used synonymously when there is no explicit comparison with another object. There is just means "very". So I should say "very delightful" would be a better translation.

The caraNa sAhityam needs a minor correction

C1: kuTila-bhujaga-vara-phaNa-krta-surucira-naTana! dEva
gOkulakalasha-payOnidhi-pUrNa-shashAnka !
niTila taTa-lasita-mrga-mada-tilaka su-nIla vArida sharIra yadu tilaka //

Nice translation Rajani..

I think kulisha in C2 is used in the sense of an axe/hatchet which is used to hew the rocky mountains..

This is a favourite metaphor of swAti tiruNAL.. see the thodi krti.. 'sarasijanabha murarE! ..shamalAdri-kulisha shaurE'

"gOkulakalasha-payOnidhi-pUrNa-shashAnka " therefore mean "O full-moon that emerged from the milky ocean that is Gokula".

No change in the "niTila.." meaning, after Keerthi's correction.
