C1: patigaLaivriddarEnu satiya bhanga bidisalilla
gati nInE mukunda enalu ati vEgadi akshayavitte KrSNa
C2: madagajavella kUDidarEnu adara samayakodagalilla
madananayya madhusUdana enalu mudadindali bandodagide krSNa
C3: shileya meTTi kulake tande balige Olidu padaviyitte
sulabhadi bhaktara salahuva namma celuva purandara viTTalarAya
Meaning:
P: You alone (nIne) are the protector (bandhu - literally relative), (and are) a fountain head (sindhu) of kindness (kAruNya)
C1: what if there were five husbands [story of draupadi], (they) did not overcome (bidisalilla) the torment (bhanga) of their wife
(when she) said (enalu) that mukunda is her only hope, (you ), in very good time (ati vEgadi), gave her akshaya (unending drape)
C2: What if all the fattened (mada) elephants came together (kUdidarEnu) (to help him) (they) were not useful (odagalilla) to him(adara) at that time (samaya); (when he) called out to madusUdana the father of madana, (you) lovingly (mudadindali) came and rescued him O KrSNa.
C3: (you) stepped on (metti) on the stone and (brought her) back (tande) to the community (kulake), were kind (olidu) to king Bali and rewarded (padaviyitte) him; (you are) our (namma) purandaravithala, the one who easily (sulabhadi) protects (salahuva) his devotees (bhaktara).
