mUSHika vAhanamuna noppucu shubha
vESHuDu veDalenu vighnEshvaruDu

tana lambOdaramuna phaNulADaga
ghanatanu veDalenu gajamukhu DipuDu

mOdamutO gaNamukhyalu goluvaga
mOdaka hastuDu mudamuna veDalen

mudamuna= Joyously; ruculu=(normally taste, but here has the sense of kaanti or light)

With lights glinting off his ear rings, Vighneswara joyously sets forth now

karNa=ear; tALamu sound (alternately, Palm leaf)

With his ears noisily flapping (or large ears flapping), the golden hued Ganapathy comes gently on


mUSHika vAhanamuna noppucu shubha
vESHuDu veDalenu vighnEshvaruDu

Sitting daintily on his mUSHika vaahanam, (the rat), Vighneshwara, he of the auspicious form, comes now


tana lambOdaramuna phaNulADaga
ghanatanu veDalenu gajamukhu DipuDu

As the snakes gamboled around his long trunk, the Elephant faced one grandly set forth


mOdamutO gaNamukhyalu goluvaga
mOdaka hastuDu mudamuna veDalen

As the stalwarts of the ganas worship him with love (mOdamutO), he sets forth with mOdaka (kolukattai) in his hand (I guess the mOdaka is really out of place in the physical context, as Ganapthi is making a grand entrance, but it makes the wordplay work..)

Corrections are welcome, as some of the words are obscure, but this is the best my friend and I could come up with.

Recently searched with given words in google books,
I found the lyrics of this daruvu in the book " Royal patronage to Indian music "
the lyrics are incomplete but I tried anyway and finally these are :

modamuna kuṇḍalamoralucu namaraga
niḍe veḍalenu vighnēśvaruḍipuḍu ||
karṇatāḷamula kadalaga nallana
svarṇavibhuḍu gaṇapati taga vaccen ||
mūṣikavāhanamūnucunu śubha
vēṣuḍu veḍalenu vighnēśvaruḍu ||
ghanalambodaramuna phaṇulāḍaga
ghanatatō vaccenu gajamukhuḍipuḍu ||
modamutō gaṇamukhyalu goluvaga
modakahastuḍu mudamuna veḍalen ||

they differ in some words, please help.

There are few significant differences. Only one I note is "ghanalambOdaramu"=grand big belly instead of "tanalambOdaramu"=his big belly. The rest are just differences in how the compound words (sandhi) are broken up in the writing. You can sing them either way.
