Is there a temple for 'SOlai malai arasi', or is this just a generic reference?

Interesting observation rshankar - i have never heard so far the Goddess being addressed as Solai malai arasi.
But Malai arasi is attributed to Parvathi (there is a tamil film song i guess Malai arasi sakthi meenakshi).

Thank you Lakshman sir for providing me the lyrics.

I thought pArvati is malai magaL, and not malai arasi. If pArvati's father himavAn is addressed as 'malai arasan' - (adrirAja, SailarAja etc.), then, her mother mEna should be 'malai arasi', right? :)

sOlai malai is tirumAlirumsOlai malai and sOlai malaikku arasi is sundaravalli tAyAr.

The Forests on the mountain slopes around this dhivya dEsam are populated by fragrant trees like Sandal , Akil et al . Hence this mountain ( VrushAdhri ) is known as Solai Malai . ThirumAl (Sundara Baahu) stays here and hence the dhivya dEsam is known as
"ThirumAlirum ChOlai " .

Thank you ksrimech - this is really informative.
Incidently there is a Sudha Dhanyasi song of same composer - Azahga Azahaga where the word - Thirumalirum solai uraiyum phrase appears. Looks like 'Enthai nee irukka' was composed on the consort of this Lord of Thirumalirum solai.

Are you saying Kanchanamala is Malai arasi and Meenakshi is Malai magal.
But after Kanchanamala retires :D , she becomes Queen Mother (like Queen Mother Elizabeth ) and then Meenakshi becomes Queen - correct ?? - so it's not altogether wrong to address Meenakshi also as Malai Arasi - particularly considering that Himavan and Kanchanamala had no other heirs.
