Everything is OK except the last word should be harikEshAnkiya I think.

Lji - I think harikESAngi is correct - like sivAngi - the one who is a part of the body (angi) of the lord with golden/red (hari) locks (kESa) - harikESAngi

OK. Thanks. But in the book it is printed as harikEshAnkiya. Might be a typo.

in the pallavi, the word "bhavabandagaLa"
is to be replaced by"bhavabandhangaLa'
in the last line it is "ajasannute"harikEsangiya'
is correct.

'bhava bandangaLa' sounds more 'tamilish'. :) In tamzih we say 'bandangaL'; I thought in kannaDa they say 'bandhagaLa'

In kannada,"bandhagaLu' mean "bonds'
While singing this line the word"bandhangaLa"
sounds sweet
"bandhagaLa" is grammatically correct but
doesnot give the effect of the word,"bandhangaLa"

Sri Muttaiah Bhagavattaar was born and brought up in
tamilnadu and his mothertongue was tamil.May be the influence of tamil might have brought out the word, :bandhangaLu;

Could be another case where the lyrics may have been taken down in tamizh where anki and angi would be indistinguishable.

harikEshAngiya or harikEshAngya?
(angya, if written in Tamil, is usually written as angiya)

harikEshAngya means body covered with gold/yellow coloured vellus hair.

It is, 'harikEshAngiya" .
May be in the originally written text it was"bhavabandhanagaLa" [bhava bandhanagaLa]
and over a period of time it was sung as "bhavabandhangaLa'[?]

Sri Mutthiah Bhagavatar, composed the music for ashtottara kirtanas
which were dedicated to Godess Chamundeshwari in Mysore. The lyrics
were penned by Sri Devottama Jois,a scholar in the court of the Maharaja
of Mysore,H.H Sri Krishnaraja Wodeyar.
So the compositions are in kannada.
The word"bhavabandhanagaLa" is correct.

PB, I think you should take it as bhuvanESvariya/harikESAngiya etc.. nene mAnasavE....(in the kannaDA sense)....Oh mind (mAnasavE) think of (nene) bhuvanESvari/harikESAngi etc...

Now I understand; it is 'bhandangaLa' vs 'bhandanagaLa'.
'bhandanam' in Sanskrit is bond and bhandanagaLa is the plural.
It was the missing 'a' from aaaaabbbb's post -#5- that got me confused.
Hope I did not miss any 'a's and 'b's. :)

It is *bandhanam* [bond] in sanskrit, and
*bandhana*[bond] in kannaDa and
*bandhanagaLu* is plural in kannaDa and
*bandhanagaLa* is *of bonds* in kannaDa.
