I checked the book and you are right about uLLaLavum. Could the word be piradAviyum?

kELviyum nIyE - prativAdamum (pirativAdamum) nIyE - 'you are the question as well as the rejoinder' perhaps?

I think 'piratAviyum' is correct - it is tat-sama of Sanskrit/Telugu word 'prastAva'. kELviyum nIyE piratAviyum nIyE' - It probably means 'You are the question and You are the questioner'.

In my humble opinion, piratAvi may be the Tamil version of the Sanskrit word "prataapi" ( valourous).

Rajani,
There seems to be no doubt that the word is derived from a Sanskrit word beginning with 'pra'. The first statement is 'kELvi'; the third statement is 'en Avi'. Therefore, I feel, the middle one has to have '...Avi..'. If, it is taken as 'pratApa', then the order might get disturbed. That's why I suggested that it could have been derived from 'prastAva'. I am not very sure.

in my opinion it could perhaps be pirarAviyum( the soul of others ) note that the next word is my Aviyum." you are the question you are the soul of others as well as the soul of myself."

Ranjani,
On a second thought, it could be 'pratApi' provided 'pa' could morph as 'va' in Tamil. I have seen the Tamil version of the song in the net - 'piratAvi' is given correctly.

pb,
I have checked the Tamil version. It is given as 'piratAviyum'. Your suggestion could be correct if it is 'piRatAviyum'. Please note the 'r' and 'R'.

ranjani,
You are right. In Tamil, certain Sanskrit words, 'pa' morphs as 'va' - tapas - tavam; kOpa - kOvam; pApa - pAvam; kUpa - kUvam; rUpa - uruvam etc. Therefore, 'piratAviyum' could mean 'pratApa'.
But, I am intrigued by the use of the word 'kELvi'. How does it go with other words in the line 'pratApa', 'en Avi', ciranjIvi'. Unless this word has some significance, it is 'odd man out'.

Thank you Sir, for your reasoning. I too find the word "kElvi" intriguing.

Re: lyrics for indaa vibhishana
There is another Sanskrit world 'pradAna' which means 'teaching, imparting, announcing, declaring'. Though there is no Sanskrit word 'pradAvi', may be Arunachala Kavi coined 'piradAvi' as an appropriate Tamil expression to denote 'a person who teaches and imparts knowledge'.
The first part 'kElviyum nIyE', 'you are the question',
and the following second part 'pradAviyum nIyE' 'you are the teacher'
complement each other.
In that case, we have to transliterate it as 'piradAviyum' instead of 'pira Taviyum'.
Comments are welcome.

'kELvi' in the 'kalvi-kELvi' combination, refers to 'Sruti'. (kalvi-kELvi may IMHO be translated as 'smRti-Sruti'). Even with this meaning, I am not able to place the word in the context.
Is there any precedent for 'pradAna' being morphed as 'piradAvi'?
As for Tamil is concerned 'piratAvi' and 'piradAvi' do not make any difference. It cannot be 'pira TAvi' - 'T' is different - I hope it is a typo
