This appears to be another song, not the one I requested

Re: Lyrics & Translation "Ghanshyam Aya Re"
Just to clarify, I'm looking for lyrics/meaning of "Ghanshyam Aya Re," not for Main Nahin Makhan Khayo - the latter is merely the CD name

Yes, I think it's the same song. I can't make out the male actor's singing in the video, but Subbulakshmi's words are clearly the same as the opening line of the recording I have. In that recording, I think she is singing both his and her lines from the movie. Please do transcribe it. Thanks, - K

Re: Lyrics & Translation "Ghanshyam Aya Re"
Also, it sounds like she is singing "ghan ShyAma Aya Ri" for the second part of the 1st line instead of "ghar ShyAma AyA rI" in the recording I have...

When both Smt. MSS and Sri Nagayya sing the pallavi, they use 'hamArE' (our) and when Smt. MSS sings it alone, she uses 'mErE' (my).

When Ghanshyamdas Birla visited the Kalki Gardens, there was a chamber concert. "Hamare" was used then in this context too, to welcome the guest to "our house"rshankar wrote:When both Smt.
