Re: Lyrics & Translation of Yedenun Nado (rAga: nATTai kurin
Where is He,my rAma, my God,where is He?[p]
I do not know where he is,his where abouts are not known,He protected the elephant king
when he was hurt.[c1]
He brought back to life the child which was burnt by the arrows of drONa"s son,
He protects the life on this universe.[c2]
He provided raiments to pAncAli like a father with out any deception
when she was insulted in the assembly[c3]
When durvAsa looked in fiery anger at Dharmaja,He managed the situation,He steals fresh
butter[c4]
He has materialised in BhadrAcala eternally,He is the foremost warrior in the universe.[c5]

Smt. Savitri - thank you. Is nA pAli short for nA pAlakuDu?

My attempt, trying to translate the sense of the krithi rather than word-to-word (should be read along with Smt.Savitri's excellent translation above)
Where is he? My Raama, where is he? My lord, where is he?
Wherever he is, I cannot find him! The One who protected Gajendra at the time of his need (where is he?)
The protector of the world, who brought back to life the child struck down by the fire of Drona's son's arrows (where is he?)
The guileless father, who provided clothes to pAncAli when she was insulted in the sabha (where is he?)
The butter thief, who calmed even Durvasa as he angryly glared at Dharmaraja (where is he?)
The greatest hero, he who has manifested in Bhadrachalam for all eternity (where is he?)
Where is he? My Raama, where is he? My lord, where is he?
Wherever he is, I cannot find him! The One who protected Gajendra at the time of his need (where is he?)
The protector of the world, who brought back to life the child struck down by the fire of Drona's son's arrows (where is he?)

Both make a lovely duet. Smt. Savitri for the words and Shrutilaya for the feel and the flow.
