I am in distress..
Unable to know why..
My friend is to be taken to ICU..
They say no activity…
Have to put him on ventilator..
To keep him survive
Often I find him in my thoughts dry and hollow
While my head is on a pillow…
Unable to get the reason…
As to which caused the inactivity….
Causes going dry ..?
Or egos running high…?
Restore the activity in him…
Fast and early...

You add so much richness to this forum. Your sharing of music (even with the 'unfriendly'!) is amazing. And outside the forum--how many people take pleasure in listening to all the music you bring to them! Which reminds me. Even here at Rasikas.org, a miniature world, you may find unfriendliness here and there, but in general, this is a genial place. Another thing. How many countless 'silent ones' browse and appreciate what you post here!
Yes, there have been times when I have felt like saying: let me be a silent member at Rasikas--times when elements 'not so friendly' crop up. Well, we are here as a family of rasikAs, have enough interests in music and more to communicate about--and how can we move away from it that easily?
Anyway, that's my feeling--and believe me, it has not been a path strewn with rose petals for the so-called 'queenie' either!
Besides, we are at a stage in life when we are back in our childhood. Playground tiffs and an occasional bullying are all part of it--but just think of all the friends!
To conclude

, you are very much wanted here, by many of us. Do not forget the silent majority also.
Even among us friends, we do not acknowledge our appreciation in every instant. We just carry on, writing more kavidais. Sometimes, there are instant responses and at other times, we keep writing without a stop as if one person is doing it all! Yes, that explains it. Individuals we are, but we tend to lose our identities at times which is a good thing, because we are after all one as rasikAs.
Enough from me before I get chastised for spouting whatever it is

VK, I saw that you 'liked' my kavithai on FB. I get inspired sometimes and write; of course this, I had written long back and I suddenly remembered and posted it there. You and and some others here write so much and that inspires us. Reg, what you do by way of sharing so much music , so many of us are enjoying it. You share it because you enjoy sharing and enjoy others enjoying it. Nothing can compare to that .Pl. continue.It is your nature to give and nothing or nobody can stop it.
I am reminded of a sanskrit subhashitam which says respectability comes from giving and not by collecting. The position of cloud (giver) is high and that of the receiver(ocean) is at the bottom.
As arasi said let us continue to enjoy the pleasure we get by sharing so many things here.

No need to feel defensive. There is a silent majority who silently appreciate and acquiese. Then there are the "talkative" ones like me and arasi (though arasi leads on that front

). While arasi is always appreciative and assuaging I shoot my mouth and get into trouble! Above all we are a supportive family (all of us!) who pitch in when the need arises. Our Rasika Family is a close-knit family you can count on rain or shine.

This Forum while primarily is 'informational' is also like the 'couch' where clients share their frustrations.
We should let folks let out the steam (harmlessly) rather than try to 'analyze'. Unfortunately it does not happen always which leads to unnecessary altercations and 'members' quitting the Family!

Folks like you, PB (our information wizard) , inimitable Lakshman, VKR (our silent bard), ravi shankar (and of course arasi wearing the different hat!) and many such service providers are the mainstay of this Forum.
