Good, neatly presented concert by the youngster who I am sure we will hear a lot in the coming days. Highlights were definitely Marubalka (can hardly go wrong with this kriti) and Kapi RTP. Fillers were good too, specially the Husseini. Very moving and played at a leisurely pace. If I have to nit-pick, I would say there were too may Hindustani flourishes (in Kapi and Ahir Bhairav pieces). I am not against it but I felt it was a tad overdone.
Support was excellent. Smitha, as always, played admirably with her Sriranjani and Kapi alapanas being the highlights. Percussionists played their part well with a good tani (I thought both of them missed an akshara or two in their turns but hey...).
