Yes, 30 is correct 
For monkey, I got as far as Langor..
I first read it as North American Monkey and read up on it
There are indeed some species of monkeys in NA)

PB, yours as well as Mohan's( chakravaham ) fit my clue (Diabetics don't date) but the one I had in mind was raga 'kEsari'. yes, there is a raga by that name.
