I would be very grateful if you could help me with the word to word meaning of the shabdam--raagamalika mishra chapu thalam --venu gaananai kori yen manam nadi----meaning for the whole shabdam.Thanks in advance

I would like to know the song Bho Shambo in revati ragam, comes under the classification of padam or a keertanam or ?Also my request for meaning of shabdam venu gaananai kori --you wanted the lyrics .But unfortunately i do not have it.But i desperately need .How do i go about it.Please help me.Thank you

The nAyaki yearns to be with Krishna (the flute player). Apparently her friend is tricking her into something not liked by the nAyaki. So she is rebuking her friend. It goes on to describe Krishna as the uncle of Murugan who is the son of Shiva who helped spread the art of Bharatam. The song further states that we should worship those who worship the Lord (cf OVK's song "aDiyArkkaDiyArkkaDiyanAy " song)

Yes, now it makes more sense. I have accordingly edited my previous post.
The description is like "talaiyaic cuRRi mUkkait toDudal" (touching your nose by going around your head) To describe Vishnu/Krishna it says "tirumal who claims Murugan (who is the son of the Lord who with his immense grace enabled the spread of bharatam) as his nephew". It is like saying "sElattilirundu 10 mile dUrattil oru grAmam (anda gramattil tAn sivaperuman Sundararai ATkoNDAr) AttUr enRu peyar; adrakku sellum vazhi edu?"

Anyway that line is resolved now. But the other line "anda mekundai.." is still troublesome.

As for the unresolved line, from memory, I recollect that our interpretation while dancing was to something along the lines of - that lord of my soul, my own, will I get the opportunity to be worthy of his lotus-like feet - anda mikundayan sonda nathan pad-aravindatte inai kuditalakuma' (or it sounded like that when sung... i'm not at all sure these are the actual words)

No, it is not a composition of the Tanjore quartet. If i am not mistaken, it has been composed by arunagirinathar.... i am not really sure though, i remember seeing it witten on a casstte cover long back... so i am not sure
