Here is my take on the whole composition - slightly different from the one Parimal posted, and may help you...Rajani or Keerthi can fix any mistakes.
According to Needamangalam Sri Krishnamurthy Bhagavatar, in this composition, Sri OVK imagines krishNa caught red-handed by Yashoda with butter in his hands that he hastily wipes on his hips to hide the evidence, trying to charm his way out, dancing eyes, dazzling beauty, sweet innocence and all!

Krishnaa - I am going entirely by the explanantion for this composition given by Needamangalam Sri Krishnamurthy Bhagavatar (who was a descendant of Sri OVK, and used to propagate Sri OVK's compositions via the medium of harikatha) - and his explanation was the butter stains that were around krishNa's waist where he'd hastily wiped his butter-laden hands in an attempt to get rid of incriminating evidence - and these fresh (nava) stains of butter appeared to add to the Lord's beauty for both yaSOda who saw this, and Sri OVK who visualized this.
This is what the Cologne Lexicon gives as the myriad meanings for the word 'rasa': m. (ifc. f. %{A}) the sap or juice of plants , Juice of fruit , any liquid or fluid , the best or finest or prime part of anything , essence , marrow RV. &c. &c. ; water , liquor , drink MBh. Ka1v. &c. ; juice of the sugar-cane , syrup Sus3r. ; any mixture , draught , elixir , potion R. BhP. ; melted butter etc. etc. etc.
Sri OVK was also extremely well versed in sanskrit and in his compositions, it is not unusual to find rare meanings for commonly used words, and rare words to describe common things. For instance, he uses the word 'rOhishajA' to describe vaLLi, the consort of muruga - meaning 'one born of a deer' - which is apparently an unusual usage.
