A: It [his coming] is like the coming of [bandantaytu] of kAmadhenu [the all giving cow]. Seek [bEdire - feminine] boons [varava] [from him].

C1: [he has come] playing [aaduta] the ball [chendu], the top [bugari], the stick[a game played with a small wooden piece sharp at both ends placed on the ground and hit at the edges by a larger wooden stick. Murthy, very nice translation! Such a beautiful krithi!!!

i think this krithi describes the event when Sri krishna comes home in the evening from vrindavan after grazing the cows. its describing his various activities and his form as he approaches his house. in the first line it says, "open the door"
this makes me think that the first line rAmakrSNaru means balarAma and kRSNa.... sice balarAma was also called rAma, in fact his first name is rAma.... and he had gone with sri kRSNa to graze the cows and the gopis are preparing to welcome both the brothers back home in the evening.

Thanks for the translation!

I had always heard this song in sindu bhairavi. Yesterday I listened to a CD wherein Bombay Sisters have sung this in vasanta rAga which is also very nice. I noticed Lakshmanji has shown jhunjUTi rAga - I hope I can get an audio file in this rAga now!

I have 4 renditions of the krti. All in tilang. The reference book I use also mentions the raga ss senjuruti.
I have the bAro namma manege in vasanta by bombay sisters.

It is not connected to hAra - just one of the items in a list of items worn.
