I heard this at a performance by M. Sarukkai in Chennai ... my notes are very sketchy though.
Ragam Nattai - Tandavesaka ... Natane ... Thai - thai - tha thi ki Na thom ...
Galitho noopuro ... Shirago, Kandho...
Anantha Tandava sabdanaam...
I believe the item is available in one of Doordarshan's dance VCDs.
Can someone provide the lyrics please?

This piece in Hamsadhwani was specially composed by Sri Seetarama Sharma for Malavika Sarukkai.

Norita,
No clue about the translation, but what I understood from the DD VCD is this: Once when SivA was immersed in his tAnDava, a small bell broke loose from his anklets, and streaked across the sky like a meteorite headed for earth. The sages and munIs prayed to Siva to prevent calamity from striking. Granting their wishes, he allows the bell to fall on his head, where his matted locks absorb most of the force, but it still retains enough kinetic energy to drop from his head and strike his right shoulder, right thigh and ankle before rolling harmlessly onto the earth. As this bell struck each body part, it emitted a sound: tat from the impact with the head, dit form the right shoulder, tOm from the right thigh, and num from striking the right ankle. These 4 sounds (tat, dit, tOm, and num) go onto to form the basis for all the tAlAs - tadA shabdO jAtO nUpura vEgataha
ananta tALa shabdAnAm utpatam mUla kAraNam.

Incidentally, the late Madurai Krishnan has used this first 'SollukaTTu' very cleverly in one of his tillAnAs to invoke the first among the gods, gaNapati.

Mohan,
That was a neat piece of info that this was a designer piece created specially for Malavika Sarukkai.
