Comments:
1. Excellent concert.
2. Voice is sweet and also forceful.
3. Very good accompaniment.
4. Sankaran Namboodiri is totally immersed in music. He feels very word of the lyrics in his body and mind. He tries to transmit it to the audience. It sometimes feels like his asking unconsciously to us "Do you understand"? Highly impactful.
5. Neravals are as a rule very brief- jus a couple of avarthanams.
6. Swarams almost for all songs . He loves the variations and it is truly enjoyable. In the case of mohanam, due to the limitation of the ragam itself, I think he could not show that much of variety and sounded a bit repetitive.
7. A violinist friend sitting by my side pointed out a significant feature. His mouth NEVER leaves its position close to the mike. His head movements are in a lateral way but always keeping his mouth pivoted to its position. She said that he must have practised it a lot as it is normally very difficult to achieve. This makes his singing evenly loud without any diminishing volume when the head turns away from mike

8. Bent upon giving prominence to kannada songs, he, I suppose, went ahead with the initial Sharade songs, although they are not typically "Rama Navami"numbers
