GNB never used one. In the book of his compositions (vol 3) it is printed as dEvi nI (anupallavi). Is this a typo? The words in the caraNA are ganuDaigAdA.

Yes it is a typo.

It is *devini* not *dEvi* nI.

The word *gAnuDai gAdA* refers to a male singer.
