When Sanjay takes stage it is tsunami.A 3 hour 15 mins concert simply outstanding.

Amazing control brilliant swaram and alapanai - to use Writer Shivasankaris usual phrase in her novels - EDAI VIDA EDAI SOLLA.

Sarasa dala was a wow composition with swara for each line.If rasikas can help with the sahityam and composer name it would be helpful.

Breathtaking speed in swaras melodious alapanas and tamil songs .

Varadhu was the usual xerox of Sanjay reproducng word to word .He was outstanding

Neyveli and KVG with explosive thani made up for yesterdays sedate thani

An superb awe inspiring concert only Sanjay is capable of .

Hope you get to hear it. One of a kind, in old-fashioned, quaint tamizh. You would like the paced phrases--no spirited tsunAmi here, but a delightfully reigned in gait by the charioteer. Like Mohan, I have heard it live. These lines are not easy for the verse-impaired tablet/notebook gazers.
Glad to hear that the concert had a virutham. Hope this mode/mood continues.

My first concert at the majestic Shanmukhananda Hall.
Thoroughly enjoyed the concert, as well the grand auditorium, the museum / gallery in the first floor.
My impression is that this hall is a notch above Music Academy, but for the parking facilities.
Especially the friendly atmosphere! I have never felt this much at home in Academy.

I thought Bilahari being the main, could have been better with a weightier krithi than Sri Chamundeswari. Especially one with a stronger line for niraval, which for me is the peak point of a Sanjay concert.

By the way, the first ragam in ragamalika swaram was Rageshri. Not Bageshri.
