A: ponnambalam tanil vAzhum sarvEshanai, bhUlOka kailAsa vAsanai
In the pallavi, and anupallavi, Sri GKB describes his extreme reluctance and inertia to go back from the temple after darSan: "My (en) heart/mind (manam) ardently desires (iccai koLLudE/koLLudu) to behold (pArkka vENum enru) that supreme (sarva - of everything) Lord (ISanai), the resident (vAsanai) of the city known as kailAsa on earth (bhUlOka), aka, cidambaram, and who dances/exists/lives (vAzhum) in (tanil) the golden (pon) hall (ambalam) of the temple there, again and again (innamum), for one (oru) time (taram)...."
C: karattil aNiyum kapAlamum trishUlamum kaiyilEndu mAn mazhuvum Damarugamum
uritta puliyin ADaiyum gaja carmamum Ongi eDutta tiruvaDiyum viritta shaDaiyum

In the caraNam, Sri GKP describes the sight that he is loath to part from: "With a begging bowl (kapAlamum) and trident (triSUlamum) that are 'worn' (aNiyum) on his hands (karattil), carrying (Endum) a deer (mAn), battle-axe (mazhu), and a drum (damarukamum) in his other hands (kayil), covered with garments (ADaiyum) made of skinned (uritta) tiger (puliyin) skin, and a cloak of elephant (gaja) skin (carmamum), his left foot (tiruvaDiyum) raised (Ongi eDutta) up high, unconfined (viritta) matted locks (SaDaiyum), adorned by the ganges (gangaiyum) and the crescent (iLam) moon (tingaLum), sacred (tiru) ashes (kAppum) all over (muzhudum) his skin (mEni), and a mischievous smile (kuRunagaiyum) playing on his lips, and a lustrous, divine (tiru) face (mukh(g)amum) that is revered by (paNiyum) the Lord krishNa (gOpAlakrishNan)[1] who reclines/sleeps (tuyilum) on (mIdu) the mighty/big (parutta) AdisEshan.....my mind desires to behold that sight again, and again, and forever......."
